For their office in Milan, Italy, to support and strengthen the team, our client is currently looking for an 

Application Engineer (m/f/d)

What are your tasks?

• In this autonomous role you will take over the technical consulting of customers and successfully implement FAE projects in cooperation with hms-teams worldwide (e.g. Spain, Belgium, Sweden, Germany).

• In close collaboration with the Italian sales team, you thrive to find solutions for the customers’ digitalization requirements, hereby your customers are from various industries such as manufacturing, transport and logistics, water/energy, and building automation.

• As a pioneer for Industry 4.0, you enhance connectivity and automation, through developing software applications for data communication that connect the devices of your customers with the leading cloud systems (Azure, AWS, Cumulocity, ...).

• You manage a variety of projects, hereby building up a network with relevant stakeholders, and ensuring through a solution-oriented mindset individual problem-solving.

What could your profile look like?

• You can prove your knowledge in the field of electrical engineering and/or IT either through a corresponding degree (technician, bachelor or master) or through professional experience appropriate to the job description.

• Programming in JAVA, C++ or in web applications is an advantage but not a requirement.

• Communication in English and Italian, both verbally and in writing, is no challenge for you. Other languages like Spanish, German or French knowledge is a big plus.

• You are a solution-oriented person with an agile and analytical way of working. You explain complex issues in a way that is easy to understand.

• You thrive when you can work closely with a team, but are also able to structure and organize yourself.
