For their growing and innovative production plant based in Changshu / Jiangsu Province, China, we are currently hiring a

General Manager (m/f/d) Manufacturing China

Position

• In this versatile position you will be responsible for more than 800 employees in manufacturing, assembly, procurement, intra-logistics, and quality management.

• As part of the Management Board of “One China” you will be responsible for the operational activities of the plant (cost, quality, productivity and output) and further elevate operations to the next level.

• You will drive the plant's productivity systems and foster the topics of lean management, digitalization and automation of the workflows within the plant and optimize them if needed.

• Develop and execute mid- and long-term strategies in terms of costs, deadlines and quality of production.

• As a primary contact to global stakeholders within the Karcher Group you will advise on topics to delivery, quality assurance and the product portfolio of the plant. Getting in contact with headquarters in Germany as well as networking within the global supply chain of the company.

• You will be leading and guiding an experienced management team of 7 directors and be a sparring partner in terms of leadership and change management to them.

• Finally, you will build a strong communication channel to every level of the organization and be a central figure in promoting the organization’s culture and its shared values.

Your Qualification

• A successfully completed technical or economic university degree or higher education (e.g. management, business administration, electrical engineering, machinery etc.) and at least 10 years of professional experience, ideally in the Power Tools, Industrial, Electronics, Household Appliances or Automotive industry.

• A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience as General Manager, Production Executive, Director of Production / Manufacturing in an international matrix organization is required.

• A strategic and entrepreneurial way of acting and thinking with a focus on performance, results and creating business relationships.

• Strong communication skills in Mandarin as well as fluency in English, both written and verbally.

• Outstanding leadership skills, loyalty, and sincerity and experience to enable and empower the development and performance of teams, inspire transparency and honesty, “walk the talk”, and balance interest.

• An outgoing personality, high analytical skills and the strong desire to add value to the organization.
