Regional Sales Manager (m/f/d)
with focus on South and East Africa
In this position you will be the link between the subsidiaries in the region and the HQ in Germany, reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of Sales Export in HQ. Based in Gauteng, City of Johannesburg, South Africa, you will support the South and East African regions in driving up their businesses within the local and export markets. You will be responsible for the following main activities:
Identifying new opportunities, analyzing the markets and building up new businesses in B2B and B2C as well as expanding the export market (e.g. Mozambique, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana)
Ensuring strong business corporations, profitable growth and a lasting relationship with our clients. Extending the dealer and retail network as well as direct sales channels.
Act as central sparring partner for the local top management of our subsidiaries and support them in developing sales strategies to expand the local and export business in Africa.
Develop, coach, and train, but also challenge local sales teams to grow their markets.
For this exciting position, you should have a strong strategic and commercial mindset to help to elevate the whole organization to the next level. Furthermore, you should have:
A successfully completed business or industrial engineering university degree, and extensive experience in international B2B- and B2C-sales related to industries like consumer goods, construction equipment, machinery, power tools, or similar.
A proven track record in sales within a global organization as well as establishing dealer networks and expanding the channels of direct sales / key account management.
Fluency in English, every additional local language is certainly a plus.
A strong coaching and business partnering mentality combined with a self-starting and hands-on attitude. Perhaps you may have first leadership experience.
Willingness to travel throughout South and East Africa.
