Chief Financial Officer (m/f/d) China

Position

  • Being held accountable for the “One China” economic performance, you will collaborate closely with the Managing Directors of production (turnover bn1.3 CNY; 1000 headcounts) and sales, marketing and services (turnover 700k CNY; 250 headcounts) to determine the vision and strategy of the Chinese operations.

  • You set the agenda and run the monthly Management Board meetings of the holding and oversee decision-making across entities while closely liaising with headquarters.

  • You act as a sparring partner to 1st and 2nd level managers across - and balance between - the legal entities. You facilitate decision-making by providing relevant and fact-based business cases to structure and prioritize investments, including M&A.

  • You are responsible to provide direction and lead teams of finance, human resources, information technology professionals to become real business partners and support growth with improved profitability.

  • You encourage transparency, honesty and discipline and pro-actively design the continuous change and organizational development.

  • You represent the company during audits (internal & external) and towards banks.

Job requirements

Your Qualification

  • A successfully completed university degree in Finance / Accounting / Business Management.

  • Professional experience and qualification in Accounting is an advantage.

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in General Management as well as Controlling is required.

  • Successful track record in an international matrix organization; ideally in the Automotive, Industrial, Tools or FMCG industry.

  • Outstanding leadership skills, loyalty, and sincerity and experience to enable and empower the development and performance of teams, inspire transparency and honesty, “walk the talk”, and balance interest.

  • Proficiency in SAP and English are required, fluency in Cantonese and / or Mandarin is desirable.

  • A systematic, structured and reliable way of working combined with a hands-on approach.

  • A strong customer-centric mindset to help to elevate the strategic value and positioning of the financial solutions portfolio for the organization.
