Purchasing Director (m/f/d) Vietnam
What is your role at Kärcher?
Being part of the management team and directly reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for establishing a sustainable purchasing process for the future plant in Vietnam, as well as an interconnected and efficient purchasing supply chain for Southeast Asia.
As Director you are responsible for recruiting and building up your team of 8, guiding with vision and strong leadership skills.
Together with your newly found team you will be taking charge of all phases of the purchasing process for the plant in Vietnam: From product development to supplier selection and contract negotiation, hereby managing a volume up to 200 million dollars.
Responsible for the development, implementation and achievement of the global and local commodity as well as supplier strategies according to the Kärcher guidelines.
Monitoring of KPIs for strategic initiatives and goal tracking of commodities global and regional in accordance and reporting to the Central Departments and the Executive Vice President of Sourcing & Procurement in the Headquarter.
Transforming the purchasing supply chain within Southeast Asia to ensure a more local and sustainable supply for the plant and Kärcher subsidiaries, hereby considering all parts and materials (e.g. plastic, motors, screws).
A relevant degree (industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or technically oriented business administration) or a comparable qualification.
A strong track record of professional and leadership experience in an (international) industrial production or purchasing and supplier management.
Secure SAP knowledge.
A systematic, structured and reliable way of working combined with a hands-on approach;
A coaching leadership style marked by empathy and geared towards top team performance;
Strong command of Vietnamese and English (written and orally); ideally having a strong network within Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
