Key Account Manager (m/f/d) Municipalities


In this new founded position, your main task is to develop the striving municipal target group in Portugal. Reporting directly to the 'Direct Sales Manager', this entrepreneurial role includes the following tasks:

  • Development and execution of business strategies for the municipal target group, taking into account the state of the market, trends and company objectives;

  • Successful acquisition and sustainable relationship building of national key accounts through direct sales, as well as the preparation and negotiation of framework agreements;

  • Building strong know-how of the sector and a continuous development of clients to boost their sales and involvement with the Kärcher brand;

  • Establishing a diversified network within the public sector (politics, hospitals, communities, school etc.), as a result of which the presence within the national market is increased.

Job requirements

Your Qualification

For this exciting position you should have a strong strategic and customer-oriented mindset in order to help elevate the organization to the next level. Furthermore, you should have:

  • Bachelor in Commerce and Marketing or university degree in Business Administration, Economic Sciences or Engineering;

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience as a Key account manager for national territory in a machinery company and directed to the municipal sector, bringing a vast network within the target group;

  • Strong and influencing style of communication, analytical skills and a high customer centric mindset;

  • Fluency in Portuguese (both written and orally) and very good English skills:

  • Valid and current drivers license as well as the willingness to travel nationally 3-4 days a week.
