Managing Director (m/f/d) South Central America

We are looking for a Managing Director (MD) for our South Central America subsidiary based out of Panama, able to grow and guide the team, manage client relationships, dealers, and expert at retail able to oversee all business operations and people to ensure successful execution of our business plan and long term objectives in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Panama.


Your Tasks

  • Managing and optimizing resources through efficient administration.

  • Elevating the business to the next level by developing a strong multichannel sales structure (retailers, direct sales as well as dealer development) by having an optimal portfolio of products.

  • Landing the strategic vision into concrete action plans that provide for the management of people, programs and organizational development plans.

  • This position will work closely with regional and global headquarters in order to set up a short-mid- and long-term strategy, and will take over responsibility for P&L, budgeting and forecasting.

  • The MD will oversee the operations and performance of the organization and manage its compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • It will be a central figure in promoting the organization´s culture and its share values, especially during a phase of rapid growth.

Job requirements

Your Qualification

  • Bachelor degree and a proven track record of success in senior management level commercial or sales management for an international company.

  • MBA or Master’s degree desirable.

  • An operational and strategic exposure both in B2B and B2C business (e.g. electronics, power tools, construction);

  • Extensive sales experience handling retailers, direct customers, and dealer networks, with a highly customer centric approach.

  • Most have an strategic vision of business development for the growth of the subsidiary as well as being someone who executes those plans.

  • An empathic leadership style, being able to motivate and develop talent on a multicultural team.

  • An outgoing personality, energetic, self-motivated, enthusiastic and with a strong desire to add value to the organization.

  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time.
