Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules for injection molding processes to optimize workflow and on-time delivery.

  • Manage production staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and development opportunities, with a focus on injection molding operations.

  • Oversee inventory control, ensuring adequate raw materials and supplies are available to meet production demands.

  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures specific to the injection molding process, focusing on material usage, cycle times, and machine optimization.

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing safety regulations and procedures.

  • Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to ensure product quality meets specifications for injection molded parts.

  • Generate production reports and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.

  • Manage and troubleshoot production issues, proactively resolving problems and minimizing downtime.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices for injection molding, including new technologies and advancements in machine operation and process control.

Job requirements


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

  • 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role, specifically focused on injection molding operations.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing production schedules, budgets, and teams within an injection molding environment.

  • Strong understanding of injection molding principles, including machine setup, process parameters, troubleshooting techniques, and quality control procedures.

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies applied to injection molding.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and production planning software (e.g., SAP, ERP).
